My passion is making whatever we do together be as enjoyable and successful as possible. My specialty is facilitating women to experience the felt sense of ease and steadiness that is the true gift of Yoga. The women I work with learn and practice yoga pose movements that reduce the risk of injury while increasing strength, stamina, vitality and balance. I have been blessed with a successful 25 year full-time private practice in NYC. My clients and I explore: balance, breath work, female alignment, muscular strength and endurance, iRest Yoga Nidra Guided Meditation and chanting. Because of my anatomy and kinesiology graduate school education, I know there are a thousand different ways to move into and out of any yoga pose. My clients and I mix and match yoga poses and practices that offer the greatest benefit with the least possibility of injury. I love supporting women to listen to their body so they can take charge of moving towards health. My experience includes working with women who have learned to welcome what is present in the moment while dealing with panic disorder, agoraphobia, breast cancer, hypertension, irritable bowel syndrome, as well as a variety of musculoskeletal disorders. For the last eleven years I have been privileged to teach group yoga classes at the Jewish Home and Hospital day care program for clients with chronic health concerns. I live with my husband Sundar Das. Together we have integrated the spiritual teachings of Yoga and Imago Relationship theory to form and to maintain a stable, joy-filled relationship lasting 24 years!
