♥️ Let me share with you a very special story… Power Of Play Yoga, aka POP Yoga, began as a passion project during my 200-hour in-person Yoga Teacher Training and Mindfulness-Based Leadership Program in early 2022.
I entered YTT during a tender season of deep transition, after the unexpected passing of my mother, my hero and best friend, feeling untethered from my soul. I trusted that joining a YTT Kula would help guide me back to myself, but I could never have imagined just how much joy and play they would help restore in my heart.I was raised in a home where play was woven into everyday life. My parents infused their creativity through art, themed parties, dress-up, improvisation, cooking, photography, dancing, teaching, outdoor adventures, and so much more, right up until their final days. Play was our family language. My younger brother and I grew up as joyful co-conspirators, and today that spirit continues as we play alongside his young son. For me, play isn’t something I do - it’s who I am!I have noticed how easily adults drift away from play, often out of fear of judgment or the pressure to always be productive. Yet play is something we never truly forget, it simply waits to be reawakened. Through POP Yoga, I lovingly invite adults to reconnect with their inner child and rediscover the joy, freedom, and healing that play brings to the mind, body, and soul.POP Yoga is both a tribute and an offering honoring my parents’ playful spirits and sharing their legacy with others.
