About

Alexandria Cree began practicing yoga in 1996.

She became a 200 RYT in 2002, focusing on ashtanga vinyasa and yin yoga. She has studied polarity, essential oils, restorative yoga, nutrition, contemplative care-giving, and is a certified second level Usui Reiki practitioner and master teacher. In 2016 her 19 month old daughter was diagnosed with Acute lymphoblastic leukemia, and Alex's introduction to the world of hospital living began. “The first year of Aine’s care we lived at the hospital for over 100 days. I witnessed how much care my daughter required as well as the immense toll the day to day care of long-term patients took on the nurses. I wanted to do something to be of service, to merge my experience of being a mother to a child with special needs and a life threatening illness, a care giver, and yoga teacher." In 2017 she completed training in the Urban Zen Integrative Program offered by Life Energy Institute. The majority of her clinical hours were practiced at UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital as well as in the adult Oncology Units and ICU. In 2020 she completed her 95 hour Children's Yoga Training through Childlight Education Company. Alexandria Cree is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS).
