Yoga, pranayama, and meditation became her refuge in 2016 when she had to give up teaching ballet to fulfill her responsibilities as a sandwich generation caregiver. After her parents passed away in 2021, she decided to deepen her practice in Thrive's yoga teach and energy medicine trainings.Since 2022, Alexis has been teaching yoga and working on her book, the Mind-Blowing Wisdom of Patanjali's Yoga Sutras, which she's been posting at PatanjalisYogaSutras.com.Alexis is a playful and supportive teacher who loves to pamper her students with hands-on assists and neck massages in savasana. Her favorite format is a chakra-themed power flow.You'll rarely hear the same song twice on Alexis's eclectic playlists, but she's got a weak spot for the sounds of Indian classical music set to hip-hop beats.
