Yoga found me during a difficult time after college.
I have been a practitioner for 15 years and instructing for 7 years. I will never forget stepping inside my first yoga class with such trepidation. As a former collegiate athlete, I initially fell in love with the strengthening aspects, not to mention, I didn't mind sweating profusely! After a year of enjoying the endorphin high, I began to notice so much more about my practice and mindset. There were changes occurring and they were positive and beautiful. The curiosity behind the "why" is what drove me to the YTT program. Practicing yoga is a part of my everyday life. It is not just being on the mat, the practice of yoga extends far beyond that. Becoming an instructor has been the most rewarding decision I have made. I am currently instructing yoga at Salt Lake Community College and the University of Utah. It's an honor to be a part of these communities. I am so thankful to have found my practice and my truth. Namaste
