My desire to share yoga with others grew out of my own journey for empowerment and self-care My love of yoga deepened after I returned to DC from a stressful job as special education teacher in one of the most under-resourced schools in the South Determined to coach my students to success I began to burn out—it was on the mat that I realized I didnt have to lose myself to help others Yoga helped me find the balance I needed both on and off the mat to restore myself and give more to my students I slowly began incorporating breathing techniques into my classroom to help my students manage their stress and behavior I completed my -hour yoga certification in Vinyasa Flow at STROGA and my -hour certication at YogaWorks Baltimore under Kim Manfredi I have also earned certificates in Yoga Philosophy for Kids K- throughYoKid a nonprofit committed to bringing yoga to under-served kids & teenagers in the DMV My style is energetic and friendly focused on mindfulness and breath I am energized by empowering others to reach their full potential and explore new perspectives In my classes you can expect to feel cared for yet challenged.
