Alicia began practicing at SUTRA in while navigating a familial crisis It wasnt until she bounced around at the gym feeling intimidated for a year or so that she realized yoga and the SUTRA community was exactly what she needed in her life Driven by a passion for giving back Alicia started volunteering at the studio becoming fully intertwined with her new community Through her practice she has learned that taking care of oneself creates the magical ability to take care of others an important facet of her life and work After a four-year hiatus following the pandemic Alicia returned fully committed to her yoga practice and the Sutra community Alicia has a strong commitment to personal growth and community support Alicias kind and caring energy is palpable in her energy reflecting her adventurous and sensitive spirit Having completed a Fluid Yoga Assisting Training through SUTRA in Spring and now completing her hour Fluid Yoga Teacher Training she is excited to help others find their way with yoga and meditation which has made a powerful difference in her life Alicia aims to continue her learning journey and deepen her personal practice as well as teaching others the benefits and joy of yoga and meditation in everyday life A big fan of fundamentals and slow flows she emphasizes that yoga is for every body and mind regardless of ones ability to perform complex postures When not practicing you can find Alicia spending time with her beloved princess Mia aka her pretty pittie and working on her love of creating pottery and painting “Each day we are born again; what you do today is what matters most” ~ Buddha.
