About
Greetings! My name is Alicia Roberts, and I’m a Wyoming native, yogi, musician, HR exec, and cat mom.
I am so excited to share my passion and fusion of music and yoga with you! I have always been deeply passionate about music, which led me to pursue my bachelor and master degrees in vocal performance. By day, I thrive in my role as an HR executive at Moser Energy Systems where I help to foster positive work environments and support my colleagues. Although I have a busy professional life, my heart truly belongs to yoga and music. Both have been sources of sanctuary, solace, and strength in my life for many years. Recently, I embarked on a transformative journey by completing my 200-hour RYT training at the Sadhana School of Yoga. This training has not only deepened my understanding of yoga but has also allowed me to share my love for this ancient practice with others. My journey with yoga has been a true symphony of transformation and self-discovery. Growing up, I first developed a love for dance, which ignited my passion for movement and grace. This early connection to the rhythm of music and body movement laid the foundation for my deep appreciation of the arts. In 2018, my parents were diagnosed with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases. While witnessing their health struggles, I was inspired to embark on a health journey, and I made a commitment to prioritize my well-being. Through dedication and perseverance, I shed over 100 pounds, embracing a healthier lifestyle and a renewed sense of vitality. During this period, I discovered the healing power of yoga. Initially, I used yoga as a tool for active recovery, but it soon became much more than that. In the midst of life's challenges and uncertainties, yoga provides me with a space to escape, to breathe, and to quiet my anxious thoughts. It guides me on a path of emotional healing and self-acceptance. As I delved deeper into my yoga practice, I found a profound sense of alignment between my love for music and my passion for yoga. This realization sparked the birth of Vocal Vinyasa, a fusion of music and movement that resonates with my soul. Through Vocal Vinyasa, I aim to synthesize my knowledge and passion for music and yoga into a harmonious blend that nourishes the body, mind, and spirit. Vocal Vinyasa features a carefully curated playlist to match the intention of each pose and theme of the flow. In each Vocal Vinyasa class, participants are encouraged to use their voices during mantra, chant, and normal everyday vocal expressions. Participants are invited to laugh, cry, groan, sigh, and truly express their feelings, helping them to reach a peaceful savasana at the end of the class. I am filled with excitement as I embark on this new chapter of my journey, eager to share the transformative power of Vocal Vinyasa with others. Join me on the mat, where we can flow to the rhythm of our hearts, harmonize with the melody of our breath, and dance freely in the symphony of life. Namaste.
