About

I'm excited to be a part of the Yoga Community here in South Florida.

I'm currently a C-IAYT Certified Yoga Therapist. I have taught yoga at the St. Regis Hotel in Bal Harbour and the W Hotel in Fort Lauderdale. I enjoy working with medical ailments, rehabilitation clients, and cancer patients. I am also a Licensed Massage Therapist. It's through utilizing massage techniques that I find my students can go deeper into postures and feel the beneficial effects of both Yoga and Massage - Alisha Testimonials: “Alisha is committed to providing exceptional service to her clients. My experience working with her was nothing less than that. I have practiced yoga in the past but mostly relied on apps and random classes to guide me. I never really understood the fundamentals of yoga and the different aspects of yoga beyond poses and a workout. Alisha worked with me to incorporate my spiritual practices into a personalized yoga plan. She taught me breathing techniques, visualization exercises, and a range of poses and flows to help me get grounded and become energized. I walked away from our time together feeling confident that I could continue to build my yoga practice with intention. I looked forward to our weekly meetings and always felt on top of the world after our sessions. Thank you Alisha for all of your time and energy, you are amazing!” -Sonia C. “I started Yoga Therapy with Alisha for both Mental and Physical health. I was suffering from extreme anxiety and panic attacks when I was in certain situations (airplanes, elevators etc). After completing the sessions I felt a big improvement. I feel stronger and capable of handling those situations. Alisha did an amazing job addressing my issues with a customized protocol. Each session I learned something new! I highly recommend Alisha as a Yoga Therapist! It changed my life!” – Martina G. “Before starting my Yoga Therapy sessions with Alisha I eliminated working out my shoulders/upper back because it caused me more tension than the benefit of working those muscles. During these sessions, I found myself being able to hold and complete moves I would have never attempted to do for fear of pain. I learned how to strengthen different muscle groups to help address my issue. Overall, I feel longer/taller, and I have found a new love of yoga and my body with the guidance of Alisha.” -Sarah N. “I started working with Alisha because I was having a hard time finding ways to manage my PTSD. I had also been experiencing chronic pain and had very little range of motion. I have explored meditation, yoga, and other wellness tools on my own and have had little long-term success. Alisha created a personalized program for me based on her expertise while also incorporating methods I was interested in trying, and methods that had given me some relief in the past. During the time we worked together Alisha listened carefully and made adjustments as we went. At the end of our time together, Alisha had created a solid foundation for me to continue a lasting practice in yoga and meditation that has benefited me greatly. My sleep has improved, I feel less stressed, and I no longer experience constant pain. Alisha helped me find a way to manage my PTSD in a healthy way” -Scott T.
