WHO am I? Im Allyson Higgins-Halfpenny / Halfpence Moon and Im a NYC based Register Yoga Teacher RYT WHERE are I from? I was born/raised in Missouri in I moved to London where I became ‘ME and I found yoga when I moved back to the USA to NYC in WHY yoga? My goal is to empower ALL humans through the practice of yoga just as I was Ive always been ‘big and Ive spent the majority of my life ashamed embarrassed and obsessed with my size I tried yoga as a last hope at losing some weight only allowing myself to practice at home because I was too embarrassed to go to a studio! But then I found a community of yoga students and teachers that didnt fit the commercial ideal of Yoga who embrace themselves who love themselves who dismiss the world telling them that they arent healthy happy and worthy humans They inspired me to take a leap and start my own yoga journey WHATS next? I am learning to become a Body Positive person Im using my mat to help me get there and I hope to bring others along for the ride! WHEN? Classes at Halfpence Moon Yoga and on YouTube.
