About
Alyson Foreacre, ERYT-500, co-founded Yoga Den in Jacksonville, Florida in 2002.
She studied with dozens of master teachers, explored a wide variety of yoga traditions, and received multiple certifications. Recognizing the need for therapeutic accessibility, while also having the desire to offer Yoga as a fitness modality, Alyson stepped outside of the “traditional” box and developed her own signature class styles for Yoga Den, offering something for every level of strength and flexibility, with a welcoming “no judgment, listen to your body” philosophy. To accommodate her growing need for safe and knowledgeable instructors, Alyson developed the Yoga Den Teacher Training school in 2004, which became the first Yoga Alliance accredited yoga school in Jacksonville, FL. Offering certifications at both the 200 and 300 hour level, Alyson and her esteemed training team has had the honor and privilege of certifying thousands of teachers throughout the USA. A 2-time lululemon ambassador, her classes have appeared nationally on America’s Next Top Model and 48 hours, and she has written articles in numerous publications. She has worked privately with many professional athletes to help them integrate yoga into their training regime, and has volunteered hundreds of hours to bring yoga out to the community, from the school system to the corporate world. With a strong desire to pay it forward, Yoga Den supports and contributes to many local fund-raising projects, and in 2003 Alyson created Yoga Den’s annual Turkey Day Detox, which to date has raised over $30,000 for a variety of non-profit charitable organizations. Alyson loves teaching weekly classes at her studio, Yoga Den Mandarin, and continues to direct and educate for the Yoga Den Teacher Training school.
