a Certified Reiki Master and Sound Healer. Alyssa brings significant expertise in Yoga with 17 years as a student and now as a teacher.For over ten years in her previous life, Alyssa was a software sales executive in New York and Silicon Valley.Before tech, she worked in media and publishing sales in Manhattan and graduated from New York University with degrees in Journalism and Mass Communication & Sociology (cum laude).Her writing has appeared in Newsweek, HuffPost, Business Insider, and Yoga Journal. Credentials: Trained by a leading alignment-based yoga school, Laura Burkhart Yoga, which specializes in intelligent sequencing, alignment, and anatomy. Advanced teacher training with Janet Stone Yoga.Completed Level 1 of Restore and Renew Restorative Yoga Training with Yoga Journal Co-Founder Judith Hanson Lasater, Ph.D. PT. Expected to complete Level 2 in early 2026. Expected to complete UC Berkeley's Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program in 2027.As a classically trained musician, Alyssa plays an array of instruments including the harmonium, frame drum, singing bowls, gongs, and more, at popular sound baths around the SF Bay Area.
