About
Amy Pickett-Williams, LCSW is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT), and Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
She has been a grief psychotherapist for over 25 years, specializing in somatic-based therapy. She also founded a non-profit called the LIGHT (Love In Grief, Held Together) Movement. About Us Started by a group of volunteers last fall, the LIGHT (Love in Grief, Held Together) Movement recently became a non-profit. Our workers, board, and volunteers recognize that no one is immune from grief and that our fellow humans–and our entire world–are grieving. Therefore, we must learn how to work with grief and grow because of it. LIGHT has four goals: 1. Remind people they are not alone. 2. Teach the science of grief and somatic-based tools to support mind-body integration, leading to meaning-making and purpose in grief. 3. Provide other support and resources to support people in their grief. 4. Stand in solidarity for all people and all types of grief. Our vision is to bring LIGHT to the global community. We provide somatic-based classes, workshops, training, and retreats, both virtually and in-person.
