I am a Registered Yoga Teacher RYT with Yoga Alliance which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School RYS I also have my -hour AIReal Yoga Teacher certification  Ive been practicing yoga since I first started to explore movement on the mat at years old I didnt really know what I was doing at the time; I would simply retreat to my room and flow through postures when trying to deal with difficult emotions Yoga was my refuge through years of struggle with an eating disorder and childhood trauma As an adult yoga and meditation have literally saved my life and have been an integral part of my journey with PTSD I truly believe the body keeps the score over a lifetime and a regular practice that involves breathwork and moving energy through the body helps us address the "issues in our tissues" You will notice in my classes I talk a lot about self-love This is no accident Ive had so many people share with me that my classes are the only time they tell themselves they love themselves I will never stop making practice with me an opportunity for my students to give themselves the love they seek Outside the studio I am a health coach a rock climber a runner an amateur vegan chef a sometimes poet and proud mama to the worlds most amazing girl! I love to travel and explore the outdoors and Im a sucker for ugly socks and a good crossword puzzle.
