Amanda started her yoga journey in 1999 when she began teaching at her local gym.

Amanda started her yoga journey in 1999 when she began teaching at her local gym.
She is an ACE certified group fitness instructor and ERYT 500. She is also the author and creator of Yoga Fit for the Heart and Yoga for Neurological Disorders, both are trainings within the Yoga Fit curriculum. She teaches trainings and workshops across the country with Yoga Fit. She also teaches experiential workshops in Acro-Yoga, Arial yoga, and guest lecture courses on a variety of topics with local studios. Amanda is a practicing Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in vascular surgery. She has her Doctorate of Nursing Practice and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner degrees from Georgia Regents Univeristy (fomerly known as MCG). She has completed and published research in heart failure and women's health. Giving back to the local community is a regular gratitude practice for Amanda. She teaches free classes when she is not working. She enjoys introducing new people to yoga on and off the mat whenever she can!
