About
Imagine a yoga practice that feels joyful, accessible, uplifting, and profoundly transformative.
That’s the magic Amanda Lamprecht brings to every class. A C-IAYT, E-RYT500, and YACEP, she is the founder of the International School of Yoga Studies (RYS200;RYS300; RYS500) and a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider. Her sessions are lighthearted and inclusive for all bodies and levels, always anchored in safe alignment and teaching all eight limbs of yoga.Rooted in the Krishnamacharya lineage, Amanda studied Ashtanga Yoga directly under Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and Sharath Jois in Mysore, India. She is also certified in Alignment-Based Yoga, Raja Yoga, and is a Teacher of Presence. From her home base in Seattle to South Africa, she leads immersive CE workshops, retreats, and teacher trainings that blend tradition with creativity. In South Africa’s Eastern Cape, Amanda is a trailblazer for equitable wellness, launching the region’s first Yoga Alliance–registered teacher training and sponsoring some of the first certified instructors, including pioneering Xhosa teachers. Her work continues to foster inclusive communities where yoga unites, uplifts, and creates new opportunities for employment, health, well-being, and growth.Amanda’s yoga is a rare blend of depth and delight. Beyond the mat, her holistic approach shines through her roles as a Certified Acutonics Teacher (specializing in harmonic medicine, planetary tuning forks, Tibetan and crystal sound bowls, and Nāda Yoga), Reiki Master, musician (performing as AMANDALA), Nia Black Belt dancer, and KINRGY X Dance Guide. She teaches yoga with integrity to lineage and heart, while her dance classes weave in prāṇāyāma and creative movement—igniting spirit, joy, and expression.
