Amanda Montavon is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with an approved and active Registered Yoga School (RYS).
Amanda has been teaching Yoga for over 16 years, and before then she worked as a group fitness instructor and American council on Exercise Personal Trainer. She has completed a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training program in Multi-Style Hatha Yoga, a 500 YTT program in Traditional Tantra Yoga and several continuing education workshops. She has also completed over 2000 hours in Ayurvedic trainings, and holds both an Ayurveda Education and Ayurveda Practitioner certification; and is a professional member NAMA. Her Bachelor of Arts is in Outdoor Studies in which she focused on the mind-body benefits of outdoor recreation. She studied holistic health for her Masters of Arts degree and her thesis was on holistic teaching principles; designing curriculum to assist others through their own individual process of growth and transformation. As an E-500 RYT, Amanda continually offers Yoga Teacher Training programs approved by the Yoga Alliance and her workshops are approved as continuing education classes for YA Registered Yoga Teachers.
