Amanda Gloria Valdes is a Global Yoga, Meditation, Ayurveda, and Perinatal Movement Educator with over a decade of experience guiding communities through embodied practices of wellness, mindfulness, and creative movement.She currently serves as the Director of Teacher Training and Continuing Education at Y7 Studio, where she has graduated over 650+ students (2020–2025) through Yoga Alliance–Registered 200-Hour Certifications and Continuing Education programs.
Amanda is also faculty at New York University’s Global Spiritual Life Department, teaching Yoga and Meditation for Mindful NYU, where her classes and lectures integrate contemplative practice, trauma-informed teaching, and the intersection of yoga, social equity, and creative wellness.Amanda has gained international recognition as a featured creator on the Melissa Wood Health digital platform, where her offerings spotlight Perinatal Yoga, Sound Healing, Creative Flow, and Strength practices. She is also a resident instructor in the Bryant Park Yoga Series in New York City, bringing accessible and community-centered yoga to thousands each season.A 500-Hour E-RYT and Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP), Amanda continues her advanced studies in Sequencing, Energetics and the Subtle Body (Chakras), Mindfulness, Sound Healing, Ayurveda, Katonah Yoga, Restorative and Yin Yoga, Fly Inversions, Social Equity and Justice, Full-Spectrum Doula Work, Traditional Rebozo Healing, and Perinatal Nutrition. She is also a Certified Mat Pilates Teacher, trained in Mat Pilates and Sculpt through Jungle Johanna, deepening her multidisciplinary approach to movement and strength-based embodiment.Amanda was named a “Changemaker” by Yoga Journal Italia for her intersectional work in yoga and community building within Crown Heights, Brooklyn, and was featured in Yoga Love Magazine as a leader in Yoga, Community Advocacy, and Traditional Birthwork.As the Founder — and, beginning in 2026, the CEO and Creative Director — of AV STUDIOS LLC, Amanda is expanding her brand’s impact by producing cutting-edge educational programs, global teacher trainings, and immersive wellness experiences. AV STUDIOS serves The Gratitude Village through Full-Spectrum Doula Services, Wellness Content Creation, and Consulting for Wellness and Lifestyle Brands.A graduate of Rutgers University in Theater and Communications & Media, Amanda also trained under the late William Esper at the prestigious William Esper Studio Acting Conservatory.
