About
Thank You so much for stopping by my profile! I'll fill you in on a bit about myself and my teaching style...
I have been studying yoga and meditation for over 12years. Yoga and Meditation was brought into my life through a natural remedies book for anxiety. At the time I was at the peak of suffering from PTSD. I had always been drawn to the holistic side of health so medication was not an option for me. I went to a bookstore after experiencing some frustration with a therapist and got a book on ways to heal naturally. That book mentioned meditation. From there my next book I had on mediation spoke about yoga. And my journey to healing and empowerment had begun... After going through those dark avenues in my mind for almost 2 years I had decided to leave my job as a Cosmetology Instructor and start my journey to becoming a 200hr RYT. I felt first-hand the drastic improvement yoga had made to my life and felt this was something that needed to be taught everywhere and to everyone! The fire in me to continue empowering not only myself but everyone I met was thriving! Right away I threw myself into the deep end of this TT with Rolf Gates. I read all that I could possibly read and study. Yoga very much became not something I did, but something I lived by. Since then my knowledge and experience just continued growing. Yoga isn't something I do. It's not something I just teach. It is truly my life. With a husband in the Marine Corps I have had the privilege of teaching all across the country! From Northern VA, North Carolina, Mississippi, Central California and now back in Northern VA! While we were in central California in 2020 I decided to get my 300hr RYTT. I had spent the time from getting my 200hr TT to the 300hr studying different forms of yoga and meditation as well as diving into Hinduism, Buddhism, reiki and Ayurveda. The 300hr was a one-on-one TT which I valued but I was craving that group experience. Shortly after graduation I began another 300hr RYTT in a group setting. I had always been a forever student. I have a passion for teaching AND learning! I believe we should never stop learning and growing. I live for continuing to keep the roots of yoga alive through mind, body, breath and spiritual connections in Vinyasa classes. Thank You so much for taking the time to read and I am here to answer any questions you may have! "Seek Peace Not Here But Everywhere." Amber
