Ever since her first class, she was hooked. Using it primarily as a stress release from hectic work life, she found she wanted to do more than just go to class; she wanted to share it with people. Amy made her dream to teach yoga a reality this year, completing her RYT 200 in April through the Baptiste Institute, studying and training with Baron Baptiste, the creator of Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga. Amy loves sharing Yoga with others through challenging, yet fun and playful classes, and aims to touch each and every student who walks in the door. She believes Yoga is not just exercise or stretching bodies, but stretching of our minds and hearts as well. Amy plans to continue learning and sharing more about Yoga throughout her life, aiming to be an “always student,” “Yoga transformed every piece of my life,” she says. “And this is just the beginning!” When she’s not teaching, Amy loves to be outside in any form, whether it’s walking her dog, Duke, on the beach with her husband or hiking up a nearby mountain.
