Amy’s classes are an artful blend of movement and stillness, strength and flexibility, breath and awareness. Each unique class inspires students to unite body, mind and heart in the present moment, enhancing well being on and off the mat. Amy has dedicated herself to the practice, study and teaching of yoga since discovering its joys and benefits in 1997 while backpacking throughout Asia, Australia, and parts of Europe. Her studies have included Anusara, Iyengar, Ashtanga, Sivananda and Vipassana. She co-taught a class for City of Hope on the outfield of Padres’ Petco Park which raised over $80,000 to fight and treat cancer as well as leading the first ever yoga class on the USS Midway to 1,000 students in conjunction with the Downtown Partnership and Scripps Health. Amy leads Yoga One’s Teacher Trainings, which attract students from all over the world. She co-wrote the 200 Hour Manual and wrote the 300 Hour Manual.
