At age seven she began her study of Yoga and Meditation with Mary Bode, a disciple of Yogacharya B.K.S. Iyengar after meeting Swami Vishudevananda of the Sivananda Ashrams where she continues to study. She has taught and studied many styles of Yoga and Bodywork at the University level including Amrit Yoga, Kripalu, Sivananda, Somatics, and Iyengar.
