Amy Jane Banfield never knew that yoga would become her calling and career path.
After more than a decade as a competitive synchronized swimmer and then runner, she had her initial experience practicing yoga while visiting Santa Fe in 2011. She went on to complete her 200-hour Vinyasa certification through YogahOMe in her hometown of Cincinnati, OH; and then her 300-hour of additional yoga training with Yoga Assets based in Salt Lake City, Utah. She currently is registered as an E-RYT 500 hour Teacher. Amy Jane’s passion for teaching yoga is rooted in witnessing her students become empowered by their bodies while their stress and worries melt away. Her yoga classes are smooth, dynamic, and encourage her students to be playful in their approach to the practice. In addition to teaching weekly classes she also leads teacher training programs & local workshops. When she is not teaching yoga; you can find Amy Jane cooking, baking, enjoying the farmers’ market, drinking tea, hiking, spending time with friends and just out and about with a smile on her face!
