Hailing from the Northeast Amy Young has practiced yoga since her early s starting a regular practice in at The Ashram Yoga in Kirkland WA In she completed the Ashram Teaching Training hour and began leading classes Additionally she managed The Ashram Yoga studio from - Amy is completed her Hour Teacher Training with My Vinyasa Practice with Michelle Young She has opened Hilltop Yoga Since Amy has been teaching Yin Yoga and Power Vinyasa Flow Her classes are light-hearted and effective with consistent postures and flow Amy believes a daily practice of yoga keeps her mind body and spirit balanced What she does in the room gives her balance to take lifes challenges head on and is a reminder no matter what to just breathe In Amy became a Reiki Master Amy has been living a clean and sober lifestyle for years She continues to practice recovery on a daily basis and is adept at utilizing the yoga sutras to enhance -stop Recovery Building and fostering strong communities is something Amy cares deeply about and is obvious from her time as an elementary school teacher and camp director as well as her involvement in local non-profits such as My Village NW Amy is passionate about advocating for people with disabilities by developing community partnerships She currently serves on the board of My Village Northwest In addition to teaching yoga she spends time with her husband and their two children two dogs gardening skiing biking and traveling Certifications/skills/training: The Ashram Yoga Certified Instructor My Vinyasa Practice Hour RYT Certified Yoga Instructor Reiki Master.
