Angela Cays has been working towards transforming suffering and empowering others for decades as a high school math teacher and tutor; licensed professional counselor (LPC) with adults, teens, groups and couples; and during the last 15 years as a yoga instructor.
Chanting mantra and playing harmonium, guitar, or ukulele are a regular part of her classes to awaken our sacred vibration amplified throughout the class with asana and dharma. Her classes approach the body mindfully, first shedding accumulated tension and defenses, then igniting inner fire and energy to expand into one’s innate power and divine spirit. She couples the teachings of Yoga and Buddhism with her experience as a counselor to cultivate a therapeutic effect in her group classes as well as her private yoga, Reiki, and EFT Tapping sessions. She guides her students to reveal light and shadow, to become more fully embodied and aware of all layers (koshas) of our being; to awaken intuition, life force energy (prana), and touch moments of deep peace as well as great expansion and inspiration. Angela’s many offerings include group yoga classes at Naturally Yoga in Glen Rock on Wednesdays at 9:30am (www.naturallyyoga.com) and at Highland Yoga in Kinnelon on Tuesdays at 9am and Saturdays at 9:45am (www.highlandyoga.com), as well as workshops and Kirtan, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) Tapping, Reiki sessions and training, and private yoga sessions.
