About
For almost thirty years, I have been been rolling out her mat to practice, and for 15 of those years, I have had the pleasure of teaching yoga and wellbeing at McMinnville High School and local studios.
My study has been guided by Sarahjoy Marsh at Daya Yoga in Portland, Oregon, whose background in yogic philosophy, physiology, and interpersonal neurobiology has shaped my practice and teaching. So far, five decades on the planet have taught me to approach each day with a sense of curiosity, hope, and humor. When I lead a class, I aim for the kind of session I would like to experience myself -- part quiet, part compassionate awareness, part release of what needs to go, part replenishment of internal resources, part celebration of strength and steadiness. So...a kind of yoga buffet where everyone leaves feeling nourished, satisfied, and a little more equipped for whatever ups, downs, and in-betweens life rolls our way once we step off the mat.
