In college, Angelina majored in environmental biology and alternative medicine knowing that helping others to be healthy and happy was her life’s motivation.
Led by her wandering spirit, degrees not yet complete, she discovered a deep love of dance and sacred movement. Originally taking up yoga as a complementary study to belly dance in support of the body’s conditioning needs, the many facets and the space to assist others was a life calling. Angelina has nearly 20 years experience teaching sacred dance, yoga, meditation and fitness. Over the past few years, she has added pilates, functional movement, memory care and children’s classes to her offerings. Currently, she is finishing an additional 200 hour yoga certification in tantra and a 100 hour certification in somatic healing. She has enjoyed amazing opportunities that include teaching belly dance in Turkey and performing for the Prince of Monaco. The diverse student populations she has been blessed to teach have continued to motivate her to continue to learn to modify or amplify to meet the needs of each body not despite but inclusive of injury, pregnancy, athlete, age or other opportunity for growth. E-RYT 200, RYT 500, YACEP, Certified Meditation Instructor, Belly Dance Instructor and Certified Personal Trainer. Angela Guarisco is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with an approved and active Registered Yoga School (RYS).
