About
Angela Quinn, M.A.Ed.
(200/500-ERYT) was ultimately brought to yoga in 2006 when she began to regularly practice and subsequently began to relieve the pain and injuries suffered over two decades of being a competitive athlete. As a long distance runner, yoga became her secret weapon to recover faster, and stay injury free. However, as time passed, the comprehensive study and path of yoga began to take precedence over her other athletic endeavors, and she dove headwind into exploration of the yogic path. In 2011, Angela traveled to Arhanta Yoga Ashram in India, where she was trained in traditional Hatha Yoga in the Sivananda lineage, and she subsequently returned to India in 2016 to study at Abhinam Yoga School in Ashtanga Vinyasa. She has studied in the lineages of Swami Sivananda, Krishnamacharya, BKS Iyengar and K. Pattabhi Jois, and infuses the teachings and practices of these masters into her unique class offerings. Angela hopes to share her knowledge of Asana, Pranayama, Dhyana (mediation), Yoga Philosophy and Bhakti (devotion) with her students to help guide them on their individual journey of yoga. She understands, first hand, the supernatural powers of this ancient science, and she is deeply grateful, and humbled at the opportunity to share the knowledge and wisdom of her many profound teachers, with her students. She aims to teach in a way that cultivates awareness, and empowers the practitioner to search for their highest self, and to evolve physically, emotionally and spiritually both on the mat, and in the world. With a background as an educator, Angela has taught yoga to students from the ages of 3-90, and finds her greatest joy in working with children and families; offering them the opportunity to grow together, and share in this beautiful, timeless gift.
