About
My goal in teaching posture-based classes as part of a yoga practice is to offer students a calm, supportive, and joyful place to observe their bodies, breathing, and minds.
I believe that yoga is for every body and everybody. My desire as a member of a yoga community is to show up with attentiveness, curiosity, and lots of laughter. My teaching speed leans medium to slow; in vinyasa or flow classes, this means longer holds to build heat. The class rhythm is consistent, with a 10-15 minute warm up, time to feel into how a pose meets the body, and time to tune into the breath. I love engaging with beginners, as well as experienced practitioners, of all ages, and I strive to adjust my cueing, modifications, and props to be inclusive to all bodies and ranges of movement. In January of 2024, I started a commitment to One Point One Yoga’s 300 hour teaching program, and I often seek out workshops on fascia and myofascial lines, assisting, philosophy, and meditation.
