Contemplative Practice Yoga® CPY classes are gentle restorative therapeutically oriented yoga classes You will learn new ways to feel at ease in your body Please contact Anna-Marie directly for information on group classes Each class is designed to decompress and unravel the tensions in your body – relieving stress increasing flexibility and balance and improving overall wellbeing Youll learn to dissolve discomfort and connect to your calm core Contemplative Practice Yoga® is an integrative practice that specializes in releasing deep core muscle tension This release of tension is the exact opposite of the “core strengthening” or “core tightening” common in many types of yoga practice In a CPY class we release tension in your core and teach you to move and use your body in ways that improve your balance and range of motion – all with a sense of ease All of this is accomplished with gentle supported movement In addition to core release we teach you to attend to your breath increasing the flow of oxygen and nutrients to your tissues and providing a sense of deep physical relaxation and well-being Dissolving tensions in your body provides a corollary benefit of mental calm and tranquility Students often describe a CPY class as “blissful” Classes are limited in participants so that each person receives full attention.
