Anne Lafortune is a RYT 500 Yoga Instructor based in Northeast Massachusetts and she specializes in Chair Yoga for Seniors in a variety of settings.
Anne also enjoys teaching Foundations classes at Andover HOME Yoga. After a lengthy career in the Senior Living Industry and practicing Yoga, she decided to bring both of her passions together. Anne started with Lakshmi Voelker's Chair Yoga Teacher Training at Kripalu Yoga and Health Center and then Sherry Zak Morris' Chair Yoga Teacher Training. Wanting more, Anne went on to complete her 200 hour TT with Kristin Olson at HOME Yoga in Andover, Massachusetts and later earned her 300 hour at Down Under School of Yoga in Brookline, Massachusetts. At Down Under, Anne had the opportunity to learn from Natasha Rizopoulos, Justine Cohen and many more!Anne's primary focus continues to be teaching older adults and making Yoga accessible to them. Recently, she became certified to teach Yoga for Osteoporosis with Dr. Loren Fishman and attended Carol Krucoff's Yoga for Seniors Professional Training at Kripalu Yoga and Health Center.This year, Anne is looking forward to completing two more teacher trainings: Accessible Yoga for Older Adults with Jivana Heyman and Teaching Beginners with Jason Crandell.
