About
"Yoga is a uniquely personal practice.
It is a constant inquiry into how to deepen my awareness and take care of myself so I can better take care of the world around me. To me yoga is not about a fancy pose, it is about falling in love with my body every day." I have been a student of yoga since the late 90’s. After years of studying, as I sought for a place to train, I found my yoga home with Yoga to the People in NYC where I felt aligned with the practice and the philosophy of making yoga accessible to everyone. I graduated with my 200-hour teacher certification in 2008, and relocated to the Bay Area to teach yoga as my full time career. I pursued advanced training at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health and completed my 500h degree in the summer of 2014. I have additional training in anatomy with Leslie Kaminoff, Harvey Deutch, Ellen Heed and Ada Lusardi, and I’ve completed trainings in Prenatal yoga with Jane Austin and Restorative yoga with Vickie Russell Bell. My teaching is also informed by my extensive movement training and experience as a professional dancer and actor. I am a mother to a lively little boy, who profoundly changed my life, and I am deeply passionate about supporting women though the journey of pregnancy and early motherhood. My goal as a teacher is to make yoga accessible to everyone and guide you as a student to a deeper relationship with yourself through the practice of yoga.
