Annie Weisbrod started practicing hatha yoga in to relieve back pain After moving to Cincinnati in she started training more seriously with the Anusara school and regularly attended Ashtanga classes - both were more athletic pursuits In she also learned from several Sivananda-based teachers Since Annie has practiced Zen with Zen Master Dae Gak participating and leading meditation practices and retreats through the Cincinnati Zen Center and the Furnace Mountain Zen Center More recently Annies yoga asana practice is inspired by the more subtle EmbodiYoga somatic approach which focuses on flowing with prana initiating movement from the core/our organs and other internal systems in Annie started teaching for TriHealths certified wellness program and expanded her role at Shine Yoga in She holds a variety of certifications: The American Council of Exercise ACE Health Coach & Fitness Trainer since The American Heart Association Medical-based CPR since Reiki Master Teacher Level IV has taken the Bodhisattva precepts from Zen Master Dae Gak and is a Registered Yoga Teacher eRYT [Yoga Alliance acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with an approved and active Registered Yoga School RYS] At this point she has meditated > hours and logged > hours teaching yoga and meditation classes She specializes in helping beginners and competitive athletes develop there own safe and beneficial practices.
