About
Annika began her journey into yoga after college as a means of cross-training, stretching, and to combat chronic back pain.
With a strong fitness and dance background she expected the practice to come easy but was pleasantly surprised with the strength and mental challenges yoga offered. After experiencing all of the benefits yoga had provided she was hooked and started practicing consistently. She instantly fell in love with the challenge of balancing the unification of movement and breath with the art of stilling the mind. Annika credits yoga to being able to birth her three children naturally. Annika is an experienced 500-hour Yoga Alliance certified and registered yoga instructor and CPR certified group fitness instructor with experience teaching various styles of yoga and fitness classes in studio, gym, corporate, school, and hospital settings. In Annika’s classes expect to sweat. She likes to create a space that focuses on fundamentals and alignment while also allowing students to explore and challenge their practice by taking it to a deeper level through strength, grace, and fluidity. Annika is passionate about sharing the mental, and emotional benefits of yoga with her students. She provides a safe, nurturing, and non-judgmental space to allow all students to feel inspired, explore, and leave class with a sense of well-being.
