About
Ashley began practicing yoga in April of 2013. She struggled with weight issues throughout most of her adult life. Along her journey to become healthier, yoga always appealed to her but she wasn’t sure how to make it accessible for her body. After dropping a significant amount of weight through cardio and strength training she decided to give yoga another try and found a teacher who removed all those obstacles and excuses from her path! She taught her that a yoga body is EVERY BODY! Once she found comfort in the physical practice the mental part followed. Through yoga she has found an overall physical and mental health she didn’t know was possible. After some well-placed encouragement by fellow yogis and teachers, in June of 2015 she made the decision to become certified to teach yoga. She began the Balance Yoga and Wellness 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Certification Program in September of 2015. She was fortunate enough to have several teaching opportunities in preparation for her certification, in addition to observing and assisting experienced, well-respected teachers in the Central Arkansas area. She graduated with her 200 Hour Yoga Certification in May and is registered with Yoga Alliance. She was proud to call BYN her yoga home as a student and is now proud to call BYN her yoga home as a teacher..
