About
Ashley started practicing yoga consistently in 2018.
She was introduced to Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, quickly falling in love with the sequence of postures. For her it provides a moving meditation while building strength, and allows for independence or room to grow with a teacher. A Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance (RYT-200), she completed her training in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, pranayama practice, meditation, yoga sutras, and the classical 8-limbs of yoga, under the instruction of Christina Martini. Ashley is dedicated to her daily practice of Ashtanga Yoga and continues her independent studies of meditation, yoga sutras, aryuveda, and chakras. Forever a student, she seeks out to further her training whenever possible from master teachers such as Taylor Hunt and Tim Feldmann. She practices with her teacher in Maui (Christina) virtually and will visit her to continue her education. Her goals include pursuing her authorization in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga from Manju Jois starting in February 2021. Ashley is a warrant officer with 17+ years in the Army reserves. She has a bachelors in Organizational Leadership and Development from University of Louisville and an associates in Business Administration from Central Texas College. Ashley's community involvement includes leading a Girl Scout Troop and serving as treasurer for the Hardin County Girl Scout Service Unit.
