Ash found yoga in her mid-twenties after feeling disconnected from her body due to years of body image issues When she practiced yoga asana she found a quieting of the mental chatter of day-to-day anxieties and a deeper intuitive conversation with her physical body - a conversation that she believes many people lose once they enter the adult world of societal pressures and expectations An elementary school teacher by day over time Ash began to notice a difference in the way children and adults move their bodies She observed childrens exploratory intuitive movement and wondered how a deep consistent yoga practice might extend such a strong mind-body connection and body liberation past childhood into adulthood Consequently she chose to complete her -hour teacher training program with Bloom Yoga Studio in to deepen both her physical and philosophical practice and she quickly fell in love with sharing the gift of yoga with others through teaching In June Ash also completed her gentle & restorative teacher training with Bloom Yoga Studio When teaching Ash creates an environment in which students feel guided and supported to explore all that their bodies can do from a place of curiosity care and strength She believes that every body can practice yoga and seeks to design flows that build strength in the body and offer students deeper body awareness and appreciation Her flows are alignment-based with creative structured sequencing and variations connect you to your inner wisdom and always return to the breath She looks forward to holding space for you and breathing and moving with you on the mat.
