About
Aubrey teaches everything from yoga, to dance, acting and speech.
With an MFA in Theatre and years performing professionally, she draws on her knowledge and experience in various somatic techniques to offer her students multiple methods to approach what they are learning. She weaves in elements of Alexander Technique, Pilates, Dance, Linklater, FitzMaurice, and Batdorf Proprioceptive Awareness to help those she works with become self-aware, in mind, body, and spirit. After getting her BA in Theatre and Minor in International Relations from USC, Aubrey performed all over the United States, Canada, and Latin America. She performed in two national tours (one of which was CATS), and even performed at Madison Square Garden. She is a member of Actors Equity Association, and is even certified in Unarmed Stage Combat. She also has an extensive background in Anatomy and Physiology, which she uses to maintain the alignment and safety of her students. While her background has been primarily in Vinyasa and Power Yoga, she has found herself drawn to Restorative Yoga and the benefits and physical wellness it provides. She is now certified in Restorative, and hopes to bring free classes to those who need it. In her class, you can always expect a safe, “judgement-free zone” where you are free to listen to and honor your body. She works with all ages and ability levels, and tailors her classes to the student needs. Namaste!
