About
Ava is a seasoned yoga teacher and Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP), holding an RYT500 designation and over seven years of teaching experience.
She has been an integral part of the Hotbox Yoga community since 2019 and currently serves as the manager of both Hotbox Manayunk and Hotbox Ambler. Ava earned her 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Certification with Free to Be in New Orleans in 2018. Her passion for growth and learning has led her to pursue advanced training, including the Social Impact Training and Hands-On Assisting Training with Grace & Glory Yoga, the 40 Days to Personal Revolution Facilitation Program through the Baptiste Institute, and the Personal Best Immersion with Luca Richards. Ava is also certified in Yin Yoga through Grace & Glory, Kids Yoga through Yoga Ed., and YOD Level 1 with Danielle Jonkinen. Ava deepened her studies by earning her 300-Hour RYT through Kripalu’s Therapeutic Yoga Program and is currently completing the 800-hour program to become a Certified Yoga Therapist. Her interest in yoga therapy stems from its holistic approach to healing and balance. After losing her mother to mental illness in 2011, Ava turned to yoga as a means to process her grief and reconnect with herself. She discovered yoga’s profound ability to support healing—not only mentally and emotionally but physically as well. Through her personal experiences, Ava became deeply aware of how grief, anxiety, and depression manifest in the body. This realization sparked her dedication to yoga therapy, which considers the whole person—body, mind, and spirit. Yoga therapy is designed to work alongside other treatments and is especially helpful for addressing complex ailments that require time to recover and heal.
