Doug is a registered Yoga instructor and has been practicing and Teaching since   Lately he has structured a program of movements  meditation and breathing that are designed to stimulate the area in the inner ear having to do with balance This area; called the vestibular apparatus is tied into the area of the brain having to do with memory focus and concentration  The concept is: To keep ones physical balance at maximal level To reduce anxiety with a balanced breathing technique and    To use a specific meditation designed to beat back Alzheimers in order to keep ones cognitive function at optimal level as long as possible Having began his practice at an unofficial Bikram Studio in West Reading Pennsylvania Interestingly enough; Yoga Alliance got its start at the same studio around the same time I was very fortunate to have many instructors during the three years I practiced in West Reading The list is a little long so bear with me Mary Ann Blefko Sarita Rocco Doe Wails Joel Pier JoAnn Morrell Bikram Choudhury Rajashree Choudhury Jimmy Barkan Erich Schiffmann Bri Maya Tiwari and Rama Berch All these folks came to the studio I was practicing at in West Reading which saved me a lot of trips! After years I was accepted into Yoga Alliance on an Independant Study Tract I decided to go to State College PA to Teach yoga And teach I did! I had a nice Wednesday class at Penn State University called "yoga with Doug" and a nice little studio called Yoga in State College I left State College towards the end of and am on a journey to help as many people as i can "Beat Back Alzheimers".
