About

I came to the mat many years ago as a way to stretch some muscles, relax, and as a change of pace from my running workouts.

What started as a weekly class has evolved into a dedicated practice. My journey has led me to combine my love of yoga with my professional training as a counselor/educator. I completed my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in May, 2014. I have also studied yoga in India and received my certification to teach Dynamic Gentle Yoga in 2021. Additionally, I have completed the specialized training by The Christina Phipps Foundation to instruct breast cancer patients and survivors. In 2025, I studied and became certified to teach Restorative Yoga. After witnessing the impact yoga has made on my life, I decided that yoga was a gift I wanted to share with others, including Baby Boomers. My goals for each class are to inspire awareness of the moment, positive thinking and self belief in all students. My approach to teaching yoga is non-competitive and individual, encouraging each student to practice yoga poses and techniques at their own comfortable pace. When I'm not on the yoga mat, I can often be seen running, biking, golfing and strolling along the beautiful beaches of Amelia Island with my husband.
