About
I share the beneficial effects of yoga on body mind and spirit by teaching classes that encourage self-awareness acceptance of our limitations and curiosity about our potential.
The pace of my classes is deliberate and mindful I start with gentle warm ups build to asanas that build strength and flexibility cool down into deep stretches and end with a deep relaxation. I encourage my students to coordinate breath with movement creating a sense of moving meditation. I have practiced yoga and meditation most of my adult life starting in 1971. Over the years my meditation and yoga have helped me navigate the challenges of a career in architecture, raising a child, midlife health problems, intricate relationships, and coming to terms with past trauma. The practice continues to enable me to cultivate a sense of gratitude and compassion. I completed my 200 hours training in July of 2014, and have been teaching regularly since August 2014. In April of 2021, I completed my 500 hour certification.
