Bernice Pierre

Yoga has been a part of her life since the age of five years old. Cheerleading, dance, yoga, and fitness have always been her joy but, just hobbies. She wanted to make yoga a more consistent practice and turn her passion into a career. She graduated in 2015 from MyBodYoga studio in Woodbridge, Virginia in their Holistic Vinyasa teacher training. She completed an additional 200 hour yoga teacher training at Atmananda Yoga studio in South Beach in 2017. In 2019, Bernice completed a Holistic 300 hour yoga teacher training in Rishikiesh, India at Vedansha Institute of Vedic Science. Bernice is also certified to teach Kids Yoga and Mat Pilates. Her love for the ocean and nature has prompted her to become a WPA (World Paddle Association) Certified Instructor and SUP (Stand Up Paddle board) Yoga Instructor . She is a Reiki Master/Teacher in the Usui Shiki Rhoyo tradition. Reiki is a Japanese hands-on-healing technique that channels Universal Life Force energy. Bernice has also studied Thai Yoga Body Work with Mukti from the Vedic Conservatory, and Crystal Sound bowl Healing with Divine Waves Healing. She likes to hold Cacao Ceremonies. Cacao is pure chocolate without the additives, it is a natural heart opener, traditionally known as “the food of the gods” . She pays homage to her Caribbean ancestry by hosting Yoga retreats in the country of Grenada. Her past time hobbies may consist of making mala crystal gem stone jewelry, selling Bohemian wear, and making natural products such as body butter candles. Finding inner peace and incorporating fitness in her lifestyle is something she holds true. Sharing this passion and helping others is what resonates with her heart.
