I started practicing yoga as a balance to strenuous workouts while training for triathlons and extended hiking trips.

In the beginning I discovered a better awareness of my body and was able to build strength and flexibility; feeling rejuvenated after practicing. As I spent more time on the mat, I found that yoga could also help calm the mind and give me a greater ability to focus and be aware. Despite a heavy load of work and family commitments, my practice has allowed me to be less reactive and more mindful in my daily life. I’ve found it is a holistic approach to mind and body wellness. As a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT200) with Yoga Alliance, I now have a love of the practice with a desire to inspire others to discover the strength and balance that yoga can bring to both mind and body. I like to empower students to develop their own personal practice that both challenges and rejuvenates them, mind, body, and soul, and continues to evolve for a lifetime. I am also an NASM Certified Personal Trainer which allows me to bring in other aspects of strength and mobility training into my own practice as well as my students.
