About
After a life of dancing competitively and professionally a devastating back injury and eventual Spine Fusion led Bethany to her yoga practice.
Post surgery her dance career was over and she spent a few years feeling very confused and lost without that identity. Eventually a friend suggested that she try hot yoga and Bethany immediately fell in love with the practice. For the first time in years yoga made her feel happy, healthy and inspired. Yoga gave her a purpose and direction in life again. She loves the physical challenge and beauty of yoga that she found in dance but also loves the compassion and mindfulness that is yoga, something she did not always find in the dance profession. In 2010 she completed an intensive Power Yoga Teacher Training with Corepower Yoga in Denver, Colorado. During that training she knew that teaching was her passion and was interested in deepening her practice and her education. In 2011 she completed her 200-hour training in the Hot Yoga (Bikram) series again with Corepower Yoga. Over the years of teaching, practicing and studying Bethany has fallen completely in love with the Bikram series. She believes it is a lifelong, life-changing and life-lengthening practice. She is passionate about educating her students about the benefits of the exceptional series and is constantly inspired by seeing her students transform on the mat. Bethany is forever grateful to her friend that brought her to her first class and to her teachers past and present for perpetuating her love and belief in yoga.
