Naturally drawn to spiritual teachings and physical practices Betsy happened upon yoga in the late s She appreciated how the practice of yoga united her body mind and spirit It became a tool that helped her feel more rooted and grounded in life especially during a time when things felt uncertain It was her saving grace and has served her well since that time in life; therefore she wanted to teach this practice to others Since she has taught in the Greater Lafayette and West Lafayette areas Betsys initial yoga training was under the guidance of Nikki Myers and Marsha Pappas at CITYOGA School of Yoga and Health in Indianapolis Along the journey she has gleaned knowledge in other branches of Yoga meditation prenatal yoga Yoga of -Step Recovery/addiction and countless other forms of health and wellness that contribute to a balanced body mind and spirit In addition to being an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher E-RYT Betsy is a registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher RPYT a continuing education provider YACEP and a certified Pilates teacher through the Pilates Method Alliance PMA Betsy received both her BA and MS from Purdue University She spends the academic year teaching Special Education for the Tippecanoe School Corporation TSC Additionally she serves the Neuroscience Education team within the TSC and helps others incorporate Conscious Discipline® and Brain-aligned practices into the classroom Betsy strives for continuous growth in her own life and considers herself a forever student Most importantly she believes the practice of yoga should be accessible to all people and all bodies!
