For 41 years Bobbie has been deeply committed to exploring the territory of inquiry using the wisdom of the body.

In addition to being a Continuum Teacher, authorized by founder, Emilie Conrad, she was the owner and director of Soma Center, Resources for Embodied Living located in Highland Park, NJ from 1998 to 2020. As a somatic yoga and movement therapist, writer, mindfulness meditation teacher and embodiment coach, she has moved many people towards a deeper way of knowing themselves tapping into a wealth of creative wisdom from the intelligence of the body. Donna Farhi and Angela Farmer have been her most influential teachers in the art of somatic yoga. Bobbie has helped thousands of people discover confidence, inner wisdom, emotional well-being and spiritual connection that can only come from the embodied wisdom of the body in practice. She is the founder of Soma Yoga Teacher Trainings, and continuing education programs for yoga teachers since 1998. Bobbie now partners with Karin Weinstein to offer dynamic in-depth teacher training in central NJ. From 1985 to 2016, she had a full bodywork and healing practice in a variety of modalities. She currently has a private yoga and movement therapy practice.The most important depth in her teaching and her writing has come from the unfolding discoveries in her own felt and fluid practices in the quiet of her own experience. It is there that she has learned to trust the body’s wisdom and share from that place of understanding. Bobbie and her husband John recorded an Embodied Meditation CD in 2012. And she has self published 2 poetry books and is completing another book called "101 Ways of Making Meaning in Everyday Life TM" due out in 2025. Ordained as an interfaith minister and minister of ancient ways since 1998, Bobbie creates and performs ceremonies for weddings, baby blessings, memorial services, eulogies and any life passage where a guide is needed to create meaning making. She also facilitates Retreats and women's circles all over the country.
