Hello there! Excited to share space and be in community with you! I started practicing alignment-based yoga in to complement my dance/movement and athletic background that had further evolved into a fitness lifestyle routine encompassing weightlifting calisthenics CrossFit martial arts and many other forms As an instructor I focus on the subtleties of the physical body in space and invite students to deepen understanding of how to build and hold poses efficiently My desire to teach yoga derives from a passion for supporting people in their individual journeys to feel comfortable in their own bodies Yoga provides the space for self-exploration and self-study svadhyaya and Im grateful for opportunities where I can serve as a catalyst for any person desiring to find better alignment in their life With this my hope is that students are able to establish a sense of sanctuary within themselves and a mind-body state resilient to change Some important aspects I consider for each class are: Intention setting Meditative breathing Exploring counterbalance hip mobility and weight distribution Muscle and joint isolation Hands-on assists and adjustments Look forward to connecting with you further! Brandon is a Registered Yoga Teacher RYT with Yoga Alliance who holds a BA in Behavioral Biology and East Asian Studies from Johns Hopkins University and a Master of Liberal Arts from the University of Chicago.
