About
My first taste of yoga began 20 years ago.
As a former high school social studies teacher, I read all the books, studied its wisdom teachings and was really pickin' up what it was puttin' down. I recognized the power within the word and was called to step forward into a deeper exploration of yoga and myself. When I began actually practicing yoga in 2008, it opened me to a new way of understanding the world through my body and spirit, as well as my mind. I experienced yoga as a tool I could use to support the needs I saw each day in my classroom. Now in my new incarnation in a different classroom, I am an E-RYT 500. I believe 'together the teacher and the taught do the teaching' and strive to empower others in deep gratitude for the gifts I’ve been given. I believe we are better together and live my life like that. I take my practice seriously, but certainly not myself, and offer challenging and fun flows that leave space for students to discover more about themselves and grow. When I’m not in the studio, I can be found on my paddle board or lil orange scooter blissed out with a big, dorky smile on my face.
