After being introduced to yoga in high school as a supplemental practice to classical ballet training I was hooked I was a competitive dancer for many years but never had the time to dedicate myself to this other passion of mine Throughout college I got more involved with the yoga studio on campus and started practicing regularly I found that regular practice really benefited my mental wellbeing and helped to cope with anxiety and depression After college in Minneapolis I moved to Denver where I practiced power yoga for several years at CorePower Yoga studios around the city Yoga was always my release from the business of life my way to focus on discovering self-love and self-acceptance My ongoing practice serves as a journey of self-discovery transformational with every practice and a way to stay mentally and physically fit I continue studying to deepen my practice and training I earned my -hour RYT certificate through CorePower Yoga of Denver CO in I also completed a -hour Rocket Yoga Training through the Progressive Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga School studying under Patrick McCleaf in In completed The Heart of Yoga -hour Immersion led by Jesse Cassady of The Grateful Yoga Registered Yoga School In May of I earned a -hour Grief Yoga® Teacher Training certificate through Paul Dennistons Grief Yoga® I believe that knowledge is mutually beneficial when shared so I teach yoga to share the powerful benefits of it and to be inspired by the journey of others.
